“Cruzando fronteras”
If you’re traveling to the Riviera Maya in early March and you are staying at Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, you can’t miss the International Festival “Cruzando Fronteras” which takes place in Mahahual.
This Festival is a Mexican and Italian cultural party, which just had its first edition in February 2013 and in 2014 will be on 01 to 08 of March.
” It is a cultural festival that links two cultures that have always been in contact and communicated among themselves: Mexican and Italian “
” Promotes literature, poetry , illustration, painting , dance, theater , music, and many expressions of visual arts , such as film and photography. Particular attention to environmental awareness and indigenous civilizations will be given , exchange products and knowledge related to the kitchen. “
“International celebrities and many less known artisans will participate in this event in which they will leave their “footprint” .
Pino Cacucci, one of the organizers, said that the purpose of “Cruzando Fronteras” is to encourage and promote cultural tourism and environmental awareness in this Caribbean paradise that is starting its development; the government is interested to promote their international diffusion under these premises . This festival was conceived by the vision of the Foundation Mahahual , by Luciano Consoli .
